Nanogram (ng) – One billionth of a gram (10-9). Nanometer (nm) – One billionth of a meter (10-9). National Formulary (NF) – A supplement to the United States Pharmacopoeia. Normal Boiling Point (nbp) – The temperature at which the vapor pressure of a liquid reaches 760 mm of mercury. Normal Evaporation Rate (NER) – The degree of product loss from a cryogenic liquid container due to heat leak into the container as designed. The NER is checked by measuring the amount of product loss over a specified time and serves to confirm whether the insulation is still good or not. Normal Temperature and Pressure (NTP) – A gas industry reference base. Normal temperature is 70 degrees F. Normal pressure is one atmosphere or 14,696 psia.
Non-Ferrous Alloys - Alloys with little or no iron, such as copper, brass, bronze, nickel, Monel, magnesium or aluminum.
Nonferrous - Refers to a metal that contains no iron, such as aluminum, copper, bronze, brass, tin, lead, gold, silver, etc.
